DAM Design Studio – Istanbul, Turkey

Internship – I experienced the professional working environment, project development and 3D model making process. I also had the opportunity to improve my use of SketchUp and Canva programmes.

SUPERPOOL Architecture – Istanbul, Turkey

Internship – In Nike Hope Alkazar, Istanbul project, we did research on the use of a “Colourful, Sustainable and Local” material. Based on these 3 mottoes, we decided to make floor coverings by converting the rubber soles of old Nike shoes. Then, we used the products we obtained in our design.

An architect that graduated from our high school told us the difficulties, good aspects, facts, myths etc. about architecture. She showed us their works and explained the processes behind them.

SOCIAL WORKS

Social Welfare Club - Saint Benoit

Participant – After a special training we had, we spent a day with blind people; donated books to a school that did not have a library and helped them to open a library. Also, sent aid to the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaras, Turkey and organized a festival in our school with the children from a school near to us on 23 April. (a national holiday dedicated to children in Turkey.)

Voluntarily worked with refugee students in this school throughout the month.

Sister School Club – Saint Benoit

Participant – Helped a primary school that was in need in Kasimpasa, Istanbul with the budget we provided ourselves. By selling the accessories that we made ourselves, organizing a new year’s raffle in our school, selling our handmade cookies during lunch breaks etc. Also, organized several visits to their schools, and invited them to our school, taught them beginner level French, did basic science experiments and played many games together.

Have played clubwise European games, won UAL League Winners medal and 2 times UAL league runners-up medals. Taken the 3rd place in UAL League and played 6 seasons in the National Youth League. Won the District Champions medal, with my old school.
